We recognise that many of our members are facing complex and testing economic challenges.

One issue which can all too easily be overlooked relates to insurance. It is thought that more than 80% of all commercial property in the United Kingdom is under-insured by an average of at least 30% which could lead to losses not being fully covered in the event of a claim.

This is magnified in the insurance claims space with supply chain disruption and inflation which amongst other factors are posing serious risks to our members.

The Masonic Mutual Limited and the Masonic Halls Advisory Group are pleased to announce that a presentation has been arranged which will aim to give our members practical guidance and support and the opportunity to ask our speaker your questions so that by the end you will:

• Be aware of the affect that inflation and ongoing material and labour shortages are having on building reinstatement values.
• Know the basis upon which building reinstatement assessments are generally calculated and points to look out for.
• Understand the potential impact that under-insurance can have on claims settlement

About the speaker:

John Newnes is a Director within Sedgwick’s* Commercial Claims Services division.
